ROBERT RICHMOND is Associate Artistic Director of Aquila Theatre Company. He is originally from Hastings, England and has studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, and now resides in New York City. For Aquila he has directed 25 shows including Hamlet, Twelfth Night, Othello, Midsummer Night's Dream, and King Lear. He has worked extensively as an actor in the UK and US including seasons with Aquila, The Royal Lyceum, Communicado, and Citizens' Theatre Glasgow. Mr. Richmond currently teaches in the Classical Studio at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and has worked for Lincoln Center Institute in the development of Teaching Artists. His work in education for Aquila includes devising, adapting and directing special school performances, adapting and directing plays for the Young Audiences company, recruitment and training of teaching artists within the company, and the teaching of workshops, institutes, seminars, and Aquila's Professional Training Program.
