Christine Baranski
CHRISTINE BARANSKI is a graduate of Juilliard's drama division. She spent her early career working at regional theatres performing in plays by Molière, Chekhov, Shaw and Shakespeare as well as Tom Stoppard and Sam Shepard. Her Off-Broadway credits include A Midsummer Night's Dream (NY Shakespeare Festival/Obie Award); Lips Together, Teeth Apart (MTC/Drama Desk Award); The Loman Family Picnic and Regrets Only (MTC); and Elliot Loves. On Broadway: The Real Thing (Tony, Drama Desk Awards), Rumors (Tony Award) and The House of Blue Leaves. For the Encores! Series: Promises, Promises and last season's Follies. For the Kennedy Center: Sweeney Todd and Mame. Television: Cybill (Emmy Award, SAG and American Comedy Awards and three additional Emmy and Golden Globe nominations). On film: Chicago, The Birdcage, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Bowfinger, Bulworth, Cruel Intentions, The Ref, Reversal of Fortune, Addams Family Values, Welcome to Mooseport, The Guru, Nine 1/2 Weeks, Jeffrey, Bonneville and the film of Mamma Mia!
