CARA GREENE is an actor, writer, producer, and teaching artist who has been living and working in New York City since the turn of the millennium. She began her NYC arts career at Musical Theatre Works, where she worked her way up from doing coffee runs for the artistic team of A Class Act to becoming a coordinating producer of new works. Along the way, she helped create SpringboardNYC, which continues to be one of her favorite projects. Cara recently returned to NYC after earning her MFA in Acting from the Old Globe/USD Professional Actors Training Program in San Diego, CA. Favorite productions at the Globe include Restoration Comedy directed by John Rando, A Midsummer Night's Dream directed by Darko Tresjnak, and Measure for Measure directed by Paul Mullins. As an actress in NYC, Cara has worked with Atlantic Theater Company, Epic Theatre Ensemble, Labyrinth Theater Company, Manhattan Theatre Club, Playwrights Horizons, New York Theater Workshop, Ensemble Studio Theater, NYU, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, The Flea Theater, Clubbed Thumb, and Brave New World Repertory Theatre. Cara has also appeared on As The World Turns, and in the films Mona Lisa Smile, Two Left Shoes, The Nashville 9, and The Other Woman. Cara holds a B.A. Cum Laude from Cornell University and an M.F.A. from The Old Globe/University of San Diego. She is an Artistic Associate with Epic Theatre Ensemble and the Development Director of Brave New World Repertory Theatre in Brooklyn.
