BENJ PASEK and Justin Paul are a musical theatre writing team living in New York City. Current projects: A Christmas Story: The Musical! (5th Avenue Theatre, National Tour), James and the Giant Peach (Goodspeed, The Kennedy Center), Dogfight (commissioned by Lincoln Center Theater), and a new original musical with playwright Steven Levenson. Other works: Edges (licensed by Music Theatre International, 150+ productions worldwide), Sesame Street, Johnny & the Sprites (Disney TV series), Duck for President and If You Give a Pig a Pancake (Theatreworks USA). Concerts: Australia's Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Hamburg's Stageclub in Germany, The Kennedy Center, Joe's Pub at the Public Theater. Honors: 2011 Richard Rodgers Award for Musical Theatre from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, 2011 Sundance Institute Fellowship, 2011 ASCAP Songwriters Fellowship Award, 2007-2008 Dramatists Guild Fellowship, 2007 Jonathan Larson Award, 2010 Fred Ebb Award finalists, Johnny Mercer Songwriters Project with American Musical Theatre Project, "50 to Watch" from Dramatist Magazine. They are proud graduates of The University of Michigan.
